Our Rackets

All models in the Grays family of rackets, although unique in appearance, have the same construction - three specially-selected timbers and Leatheroid in a 9-ply lamination. They are individually hand-crafted to time-proven specifications.

All grips are premium leather made by another renowned English company, Fairway by Balmforth. Our standard grip height is 6 inches but purchasers can order a 7-inch grip if they feel this better suits their game. The ‘Mystique’ features a ‘Borg-style’ 9.5 inch extended grip. Grip height of the junior ‘Slam’ Graduate Trainer is 6.5 inches.

Standard frame length is 27 inches, head size is 69 square inches, the string pattern is 18 x 20, and balance is head-light. The ‘Slam’ Graduate Trainer is 26 inches in length.

A basic Specs Sheet covering all our models is available upon request.

Purchasers can also receive a Specs Card giving the racket’s weight, swingweight and balance before and after stringing.

While the process to make each frame is consistent, each batch of timbers is unique, and each frame is hand-crafted, making each racket unique.

Purchasers receive a bespoke freshly made racket that plays like a new racket, not a vintage racket made decades ago which may or may not have been stored correctly.

We are also very happy to supply frames unstrung and to make Custom rackets for clients. Please contact us to discuss the possibilities.
